CentCom is a service provided by the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District (CMPDD) that provides services to the counties and municipalities within CMPDD’s regional boundaries at a cost effective rate. These services include website design, website hosting and email hosting.
Conducting business today is significantly different than the way it was done 15 to 20 years ago. In our ever changing society, the one thing that every business and/or public/private organization needs to have to be able to publicize their business or organization and to get information out to the public is a website. A website is a great way to improve the potential to attract new development and to publicize the positive attributes of a business, town/city, county or any other organization. The CMPDD provides website design services to its member governments, as well as local public agencies.
Once a business or organization has a website, the business will need website hosting. CMPDD’s Centcom provides those services at a cost-efficient rate which also includes technical support for updating and maintaining the hosted website.
The email hosting services provide access for users to their email account not only locally, but also remotely. Users can check their email from their local desktops or laptops at work through a server based system, and can also check their email from home or when out of town through a web based system.
