The City of Pearl recently adopted a new Comprehensive Plan along with comprehensive amendments to its Zoning Ordinance and Official Zoning Map. CMPDD worked with the city throughout the process.
A central goal was protecting the community Pearl has already built while encouraging new development that complements it. The Comprehensive Plan sets a long-range vision for land use, transportation, community facilities, economic development and more.
To put that vision into practice, CMPDD also helped update the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map, so the rules the city uses to review development proposals line up with its long-range goals.
Pearl’s aim isn’t just to make room for growth but to guide it in a way that strengthens the whole community. With ongoing planning, responsible development and regular review of these documents, the city can protect what residents and businesses value while opening the door to the next generation of investment.
