CMPDD’s planners use their knowledge of planning principles to work with cities and counties to find solutions to problems and carry communities toward their long-term goals.  CMPDD’s planning staff, which includes certified planners recognized by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), provides support to communities in a variety of ways ranging from brief technical assistance to multi-year long term goal projects.  Some of the services provided includes:  updates of comprehensive plans, revisions to zoning ordinances and subdivision regulations, providing technical assistance to planning commissions, including staff reports for zoning map amendments, preparation of feasibility studies and mitigation plans, production of maps, redistricting plans, school facilities plans, health care master plans and business improvement districts.
