MPO Approves Surface Transportation Program Funding Categories
CMPDD serves as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Jackson Urbanized Area that covers most of Hinds, Madison, and Rankin Counties. CMPDD is actively recruiting qualified employers and workers to participate in the Mississippi Careers of Tomorrow program. Employers who hire qualified workers in targeted occupations are eligible for up to $10,000 in wage reimbursements.
Federal MAP-21 Transportation Bill Goes Into Effect

CMPDD Drafting Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
CMPDD is drafting a new Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for FY2013 – 2018, and your input is needed. The proposed CEDS will be available on www.cmpdd.org for public comment during July and August. Traffic Sign Retroreflectivity Plan Adopted
In 2007, the Federal government established minimum standards for traffic sign retroreflectivity, and compliance dates were set in order to meet these requirements. The original compliance dates were set for January 2012, 2015, and 2018. The first compliance date required that an assessment and management plan be in place prior to the deadline. … Read more.
