CMPDD Expands the Career Coaching Program

In partnership with Accelerate MS, CMPDD’s South Central Mississippi Works grew its efforts to connect high school students with transformative, high-paying careers through the Career Coaching program. Career Coaches were deployed to 34 high schools in 16 school districts throughout the workforce area.

Input Sought for Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is charged with maintaining a 5-year plan that guides recreational development in the State of Mississippi, namely the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). CMPDD Partners with Nissan and Holmes Community College for new EV Project

CMPDD’s Southcentral Mississippi Works and Holmes Community College have partnered with Nissan to prepare workers for their newly planned electrical vehicle (EV) line in Canton, MS. CMPDD Announces Grant Funding for Six Metro-Area Transportation Alternative Projects

On May 10th, $2.9 million in Transportation Alternatives (TA) funding was awarded to six projects in the Jackson Metro Area by the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District (CMPDD) through CMPDD’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). The TA program is a federal-aid transportation program that provides funding through the MPO to local municipalities and counties within the MPO Planning Area for transportation alternative improvements.… Read more.

CMPDD is Accepting Grant Applications for $3 million available through the Jackson Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Transportation Alternatives

On November 9th CMPDD announced the availability of $3 million in Federal Transportation Alternatives (TA) program funds for transportation improvements in the metropolitan area which includes portions of Hinds, Madison, and Rankin Counties.

Jackson MPO Approves 2023-2026 TIP and 2023-2024 UPWP Documents
